Teaching Staff

Becky Simpson, Studio Director, is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. degree in Dance. Miss Becky's emphasis on proper technique along with her motto, "It's all in the face", has driven her competitive students to earn numerous top awards including overall regional and national awards, solo title winners, and top studio, as well as many choreography awards. Her students have been recognized by dance industry leaders and awarded scholarships to further their dance education. Many of her students have continued their dance education at universities and others have begun successful careers in the professional dance world. Becky has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance from Eastern Michigan University and is also an active, certified member of Dance Masters of Michigan/Dance Masters of America.
Amy Hageman is proud to be a teacher at PCPDC. She has studied all forms of dance and loves to work with children. Amy has completed her undergraduate degree in dietetics and is currently working towards her masters degree. We're happy to have Miss Amy on board!

 Nicole Kaplan is our creative genius at PCPDC and is excited to be part of our team. As a young, fresh choreographer, Nicole has won many top awards for her outstanding choreography in Modern, Contemporary, and Hip hop.

Shannon Davis is a veteran member of PCPDC. Shannon grew up at our studio and after completing high school became a member of the Detroit Pistons Automotion Dance Team in 2004 and 2005. Since then Shannon has been choreographing and judging for local cheer and dance teams at both the high school and college level. Welcome back, Shannon!

Cheryll Custer is an active member of the Cecchetti Council of America, certified through grade V and actively training for grade VI. She has performed with the Livonia Civic Ballet Company in various roles, including the Snow Queen. Cheryll has completed three years of Teachers Training School through Dance Masters of America.

 Lauren Hodges is a 2007 graduate of Western Michigan University. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Dance. She has also just finished her internship to complete her Early Elementary Education major. Lauren was a member of the Western Dance Project and the Livonia Ballet Company.
